Ceramic Coating vs Wax vs Paint Sealant: What's Actually Best for a Florida Car?

In Citrus County we get four things hard on paint: UV, salt air off the Gulf, love bugs, and pollen. Every paint-protection product is really answering the question: how long do I want to fight those four things before I redo it?

Wax: short-term shine

Wax is the cheapest and prettiest. Deep shine, warm color pop — but it lasts 4 to 8 weeks in Florida heat. Great for a car show, not great for a daily driver.

Paint sealant: the sweet spot

Paint sealant (what we apply on every Premium Exterior Wash and Full Detail) lasts 3 to 6 months, sheds water beautifully, and handles UV. It's the sweet spot for most Citrus County drivers — reapplied a few times a year, your paint stays sharp and the next wash is easier.

Ceramic coating: long-term protection

Ceramic coating is a 2–5 year hard shell. Best-in-class hydrophobic and UV resistance. But it requires professional paint decontamination and correction first, and it's a several-hundred-to-thousand-dollar service. Worth it for a newer vehicle you plan to keep, or an RV that lives outside.
